Conditions from official sources

  • Needs a passport with a machine-readable zone (MRZ); a passport with an extended validity is refused.
  • Submit the IMUGA Traveller Declaration online at imuga.immigration.gov.mv within 96 hours before arrival, one for each traveller including children.
  • Needs confirmed return tickets, a prepaid confirmed booking at a registered facility, and enough funds for the stay, or a sponsorship approved by Maldives Immigration.
  • Needs a valid Yellow Fever vaccination certificate if arriving from, or recently through, a country with yellow fever risk, unless under one year old.
  • Children need their own passport.
